A CiteSpace-based review of cross-cultural communication in international Chinese language education in China (1994-2022)

This paper applies bibliometrics visualization analysis software CiteSpace-6.1.6 and CNKI as the data source analyzes literature published in domestic journals during 1994-2022, order to understand development trend main issues of cross-cultural communication field international Chinese education. The results bibliometric cluster show that past 30 years, research topics this mainly focus on 17 clusters, including “culture”, “Chinese language”, “cultural communication”, “differences”, “international students”, differences”, a foreign connotation”, “foreign language teaching” “cross-cultural”. According cited information, difference”, “pragmatic mistakes”, “cross-culture”, difference” are most concerned topics. “Case study” “teaching design” trends hot spots two years. not only reviews history studies education, but also looks forward future
